Landlord Paul prides himself on the quality of the real ales which the George and Dragon serves, and the pub has deservedly built up a reputation in the area for its dedication to its beer - it was the proud recipient of the CAMRA Country Pub of the Season Award in Spring 2008 in recognition of its excellent range of well-kept real ales, and is featured in the Good Beer Guide.

At any one time there are always at least three hand-pulled local ales on offer, including the House Ale, “White Dragon” from the local Brown Cow Brewery - a fantastic drop brewed in limited quantities and only available in the George and Dragon.

Non-ale drinkers are, of course, well-catered for with a wide range of lagers, bitters and ciders, as well as an extensive selection of wines and spirits.
